Hello there and welcome to another blog post! Today, I’m going to talk about my latest Grade 9 adventure… Take Our Kids to Work Day! 

I was lucky enough to have my dad take me to his work, and show me the “ways of the structural engineer.”  

I had the opportunity to watch my dad in his natural habitat, and even attend some small “meetings” with his coworkers. I also got access to a ton of free drinks, including an unappetizing cup of hot chocolate (it tasted better than it looked!) 

Reflecting back, it was a very interesting experience, and I discovered a newfound appreciation for my dad’s work. Unfortunately, we were unable to visit a construction site, since it’s required for all visitors to have “steel toed boots” (which I obviously don’t have lol), so I just visited his office instead.
