Recently, I had the opportunity to join my dad, Tri, at his workplace, DataBricks, for Take Your Kid to Work Day. It’s usually a day where parents guide their kids through their work routine. But (PLP) wanted to make it more engaging. So, they assigned our class the task of creating a video. I was going to showcase my dad’s work. To make the video, I planned out interview questions and prepared some B-roll footage. It was an immersive experience that allowed me to learn more into my dad’s role and gain a better understanding of what my father does at DataBricks.
Overall, the day went really well, and I had the chance to learn a lot about my dad’s work. However, time constraints posed a challenge. The day before filming, we had a Halloween assembly at school, which took up the time slot we had planned to discuss our ideas with our teacher. But, despite that hurdle, the day turned out to be fantastic.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to have captured my dad’s work on video and share it with others. It was an insightful experience that gave me a glimpse into the world of DataBricks and the exciting field of data analytics.
I hope you enjoyed hearing about my Take Your Kid to Work Day adventure, and I look forward to sharing more exciting experiences with you in the future.
Thanks for reading.
