Thank you for coming to my presentation of learning. I am the expert on my own learning. I am also responsible and accountable for my own learning. You can expect me to give an honest evaluation of my progress. We will discuss my strengths and opportunities for growth. In PLP we reflect mid year and end of the year and also at the end of every project this is my MPOL ( Midyear Presentation Of Learning ) I will be telling you about what I am proud of and then telling you what I am not proud of as a learner. Then I will be telling you about my strengths as a learner and where I need help.
I would like to start off with humanities and my most proud work/project. My favourite project which by the way was a very tough decision was definitely storm the barricades. Because I found it the most interesting in my perspective because of all the history I learned during the project it was a lot of note taking but in the end it all came together. I knew everything about court and the history in the french revolution which was my choice of revolution. Here is a piece of work from storm the barricades.

Something that I am not proud of in humanities was in the project power of geography and that was my comic life I got a ☀️ on it but it did not meet my learning goal so I got an 📛 but that is not only why it is because I felt like it was going to be easy so I was putting other stuff before it and thats why I did not get a better grade. Then out of the blue Mrs. Willemse gave us time to revise it and make it the best we can it was basically a gift on Christmas. But, I did not take that opportunity to improve my work which is a bad habit to get into.
Now, for maker my favourite project was Your First Film. This was my favourite project because I learned so much new editing and filming techniques. Like for example using B-roll to make your video more effective and making sound effects to add a theme and story to your film. But a video that showed that was my documentary which is in the link below.
That documentary was my favourite piece of work especially becasue it took lots of time and effort and revising becasue my parents probably watched half of my documentary 5 times because I kept seeing stuff I needed to fix and in the end it probably took 20 times of watching it to feel proud of my work.
For maker something that I am not proud of this year was my reflecting on vibrant videos it felt like a very long project and I didn’t put my thoughts into the post much it was very robotic and not enthusiastic like normal.
Now for science my favourite piece of work and project was Handle with care because I learned so much about our long time building crisis with climate change. This piece of work showed my knowledge it is my fake instagram post’s about climate change I feel like I put good work into it and showed personality in the instagrams post. I would like to show you them and talk about why I love them so much.
Something for science I was not proud of were my tinker cads I was not proud of my tinker cads because they were not up to my potential and know I could have done better and I didn’t and that is something I learned during this and now if I see an area of improvement I should take that opportunity to improve.
What does your work reveal about you as a learner?
I think my work reveals my brainstorming path and my ability to put lots of my energy into my projects for example my work ethic is out of this world inside and outside of school. My work shows evidence of my learning and my enthusiasm in projects.
Overall next semester my main thing I want to work on is my recognizing when to take opportunity’s to improve my work because it will improve my work habits my responsibility and not just that my brain become stronger.
Please if teachers can help me realize when I am not pouncing on an opportunity to improve my work to let me know so I can improve as a learner.
