Hello bloggers welcome back to the first project of my grade 10 year!
I have been researching about the topic of what the “Canadian Identity” is, and how does it affect us as Canadians. We did many things to extend our understanding of Canadian identity so let me take you through of what we did. We first started off with answering a question with a paragraph “Why does it matter to think of who we are as Canadians?” This was a hard question to process but I dived into it and when I got into my thinking zone it was easy to answer this question. Here it is!

Then after this we all got a sense of how this project was going to be going forward but yet did we know there is a whole other side to this project upcoming.
Then we started to look way deeper into Canadian identity by summarizing the charter rights of Canada and I took a different approach to this assignment and went above and beyond. I am very proud of the work I did here. Without further a do let me show you!

Than we took and even deeper dive into the charter rights and did a part 2 assignment and this just shows you how much knowledge we took in during this project. For this assignment we asked two questions to ourselves…
Why is the Charter so important?
Which section do you think is the most important? Why?
Well here was my answer to these questions!
1. The Charter guarantees many basic human rights and fundamental freedoms. It is also important for achieving full Canadian sovereignty.
2. I think freedom of rights is the most important one becasue freedom of speech is super important for having a healthy and stable society and most of all the thing that means the most to a lot of people in Canada is the fact that they can express all of there religion and beliefs but obviously to a certain point where it is not involving violence and such.
I believe I showed a complete understanding of this assignment and did what needed to be done but next time I feel like I need to go a bit deeper when we ask deep questions like this.
Then we talked about Canadian identity but in the way we believe it is shown globally for me I chose the territories, and we asked ourselves some essential questions to extend our thinking and knowledge about our topic. So in this work sheet you will see answers to my questions and further more. Here it is!

Then after this we got in groups and reflected on what we did for our topics and heard other people out on what they think Canadian identity is.
Then we had a notice form the teacher that we would be doing a human library if you dont know what a human library is I wrote a script for an explanation that I spoke about at this human library here it is!

After this we then moved on to the human library where we had discussions about experiences as a Canadian and how we value diversity as a country. I had some very intense and interesting conversations but the thing that stuck with me the most is the connecting that was happening during this phase of the human library it really caught my eyes and ears.
Now after this since we are PLP we had a reflection assignment this being one of them but here is the other!
