For the Mind Over Matter project I first learned about who am I?, gummy bear diffusion, and the video game. I learned more about matter, the different states of matter and atoms in general.

For my first keystone for Who Am I? I made a paragraph about a water bottle cap, except I didn’t say what it is and you have to guess what I was describing. I learned how to describe an object without and with using quantitative and qualitative properties. I also made a poster on Canva and added my information onto it.

For keystone two, Gummy Bear Diffusion, I was supposed to create a question to answer, choose the different products, hypothesis, prediction, a name, procedure, observations, materials and a conclusion with a partner. My partner and I made a poster on Canva of in the making of the gummy bear diffusion. We chose to put two different colours of gummy bears in vinager to see if it would make a difference. Over all the gummy bears became roughly double the size and it did not make a difference. We left them for 24 hours and it was crazy to see the difference in size.

The last keystone I made a video game. I had to create a video game on scratch that relates to what we have been learned in science for this project. I created the video game about this pig who needs help through the different environments. It’s a yes or no game where you answer questions about the different states of matter. At first I found it challenging, but then I got a hang of it. I had to watch a couple YouTube videos to guide me along, but then I finally understood how to use the app.

My favourite keystone is probably the video game one because it really stretched my brain, but after I got use to it, I felt accomplished and happy that I made the game. I learned more about scratch and how to code. Overall I really enjoyed challenging my brain to figure out how to make the game.
