If you haven’t read my first DI blog post, start there. If you have, I’m sorry.

This time was the big tournament, provincials, and they brought in food trucks, a dance instructor, and face painters. And what did the sphinx squad bring? Two less members. Unfortunately, Lila and Esther were unable to make it to this tournament, so we had to change our presentation for the smaller group.

Gino stayed as Dr. Jones, and I stayed as Boris, but the real kicker was Christian becoming a conscientious scientist who had qualms about going into the sphinx. Anyways. We didn’t change any part of our presentation, except for the chisels going from being Cardboard to a wooded doorstop.

I think my improv skills were put to the test a little bit too much, and the day itself wasn’t an enjoyable experience.

If I were to ever revisit this (unlikely) I would probably make sure I remember to bring the changes I need, and pressure my group more to make changes before the tournament.

Our Instant Challenge went terribly, and due to an error with mere seconds to go, we failed to score at all. Additionally, I wasn’t able to see the scoring due to having to leave for my mom’s birthday.

also we destroyed the puppet afterwards.
