8 years.. It took 8 long painful but amazing 8 years to graduate elementary school. I always wondered what it would feel like to be in high school and what kind of homework they would have. And after 8 years, I’m finally here. But, I was not expecting to make song and post it to YouTube as an assignment!!! 

It took 8 years to make it through elementary school. And just started high school. In elementary school we did normal assignments like writing, tests and stuff. But now, in high school in PLP, we wrote a song and posted it on YouTube!!! In this post, I will be telling you about what assignments we did to complete this project, and how it changes my worldview. 

 Assignment 1: “The Outsiders” Reading/Discussions…

In this assignment, we were asked to read a book about two teenagers that had a rough life and how they dealt with it. Each week, we needed to read a certain amount of chapters, and  then do a assignment about what we read. We were put into groups of three, of four. And each week  we were done the reading, we needed to do different assignments for each week. These assignments were called “Role Sheets” which were basically the assignments that we needed to do after the reading. In this “big” assignment, we were asked to compare the teenagers worldview, to our worldview.

 Assignment 2: Mind Node…

This assignment was one of the most confusing ones, and one of the most longest ones to complete. Our teacher asked us to  “Web” and say how we think of the world today, how its changing, and what we would like to change. This assignment was focused around an app called “MindNode” which allows to you make a “Web” as big as you want. In this assignment we needed to label what type of worldview we were talking about. For example: Time, geography, government, and exc.. then, we had to explain a section on why and how the world needs to change.

Assignment 3: WorldView Meme…

In this assignment, we talked about how our worldview is changed in the past few years,  and how we thought high school was supposed to look like. For example: we were expecting to have our lockers filled with stuff, and in real life, we don’t have much stuff in our locker. This assignment was focused around an app called Basecamp. Where we can read what we have to do for our assignment, and have help. 

Final Project…

Now that we had all the assignments done, we were ready to make and record our own song. The song that we were working with in this final part of this project is “Its The End Of The World As We Know It” by R.E.M. we were asked to make our own lyrics based on how our worldview is changing. And once we were done, we had to make a “music video” with the group graduating pictures and exc. This who project took around a month to complete and my group was very proud of what we have done.This is the link to the video!
