For the latest project that we did was call “Power Play Learning Portfolio”. This project was based around learning about the Medieval time, Christianity, Judaism, and Muslim people and their beliefs. In this final assignment, we were asked to pick an image from the Medieval times, and make it look like us. Then, we were asked to read about what kind of achievements the person has done in their life, and include it into our own art.

Part 1: Choose a Medieval art picture…

In part one, we were asked to find a picture on Google that “represents” us as ourselves. For example: I like basketball, editing on YouTube (subscribe:D), cheese, exploring, boating and going on water. Then we were supposed to read about the person represented in the art on a certain website and see, if we were interested in the same stuff. Then, we were asked to save the image and input it onto an app called “Superimpose X”, where you can edit your pictures. And now that part one is done, let’s move on to part two..

Part 2: Getting the images describing your art…

The next step was to find images describing your art. We needed to read about the person in our Medieval art and take off pictures from Google and put the it our art using Superimpose X. For example: The person in my Medieval art was the first person who discovered America, and was supposedly the first person to kill a sea monster. He also invented some important tools for boating, he was the inventor of the boat, and was the first person to tame a horse. Once we were done finding images that describe our art, we were ready to move on to the final step…

Part 3: Getting our face on the art…

Once we were done step 2, we were ready for step three. This is probably one of the easiest steps out of all of them because it’s really simple to get your face onto a drawing using Superimpose X. We were asked to take a selfie of ourselves, and import it into Superimpose X.  Then, we were asked to shrink our photo to only show our faces, and put the picture directly where the arts face is supposed to be. Then, we were asked to erase parts of our faces that weren’t precisely where it is supposed to be. Once we were done with part 3, we were done with the assignment.

Final thoughts:

I Thought this project was pretty interesting since we got to learn about the Medieval times, and actually make our own art! This project was pretty fun and I hope we will get to do more stuff similar to this. Thanks for reading this, and make sure to check out my other blogs if you like cheese.
