In science class we have been learning about DNA. We learned about cells, what organelles are in each cell, and what each organelle did, so our teacher decided to have us do a lab. The lab was basically taking strawberries and cutting them open and then breaking them down. The way we broke them down was by taking this chemical called isopropyl alcohol using about 5ml, micing it with 10ml of dish soap in, about a 1/4 tablespoon of salt. I’m pretty sure after that we crushed the strawberry, then we used a strainer. I’m not quite sure what the order was but heres a video on how to do it.
That video should tell you everything you need to know. After we did that whole process we took this white chunk out as you saw in the video, we then put that under a microscope and saw the DNA, Eh.
