For our first PGP project we read the book” Atomic habits by James Clear”. Atomic Habits by James Clear teaches that small changes can lead to big results over time. Establishing systems that reinforce your habits is crucial. Clear identifies four essential steps for cultivating positive habits: make them obvious, make them appealing, make them simple, and make them rewarding. He also highlights the significance of transforming your identity—viewing yourself as someone who embodies good habits. By concentrating on small, incremental improvements each day, anyone can attain meaningful and lasting change in their life.

For this project our final assignment was to make anything to showcase what we learned form the book. I wrote an essay about my experiences with the book and how it influenced my life.

The driving question for this project was: “How can small changes in my habits shape my success this year, and beyond?”Making small adjustments to your daily habits can significantly influence your success. For instance, dedicating just 10 minutes each day to reading or exercising can result in substantial improvements over time. These minor actions accumulate, enhancing your overall productivity. Additionally, consistently following these habits fosters discipline, paving the way for you to achieve larger goals. These small changes can contribute to your success both now and in the future.

Two weeks ago I got back from an amazing trip to Indonesia and a couple other countries. And throughout this whole project I was away, which set me back quite a lot. While I was travelling I kept up with reading Atomic Habits.

My trip started out in the city of Singapore. We arrived after about 16 hours of travelling and a layover in Hong Kong. I actually found the book Atomic Habits at the Hong Kong airport so that made me realize that it’s actually a world wide book and not a niche thing. It made me realize that hmm maybe it really does work.

But your probably whoa enough about the book, what about the trip? Well the trip and atomic habits have some crossovers. During my trip we had to keep up habits. We were travelling in foreign countries and normally only staying at a place at a time so we had to keep habits. I always made sure to see if everything was with me.

Here’s some photos from my trip:

Thanks for reading! Bye!
