My pencil persuasion

Welcome back! Or welcome to one of my very many learning posts, today in this particular post I will be discussing and looking at my drawings from my most recent project.

In this project we learned how to use a lot of new tools in sketches pro, and it also advanced my drawing skills.

Word Art

This was pretty easy for me. First we wrote our names in a large font on Sketches Pro. Second we outlined the letters and made them either boxy or bubbled, I chose bubbled because it looked better with the colours I was planning on using. I drew my favourite patterns and shapes inside my letters using softer colours to give it a more comforting look.

Sketch Notes!

One of the struggles with sketching out faces realistically is where the eyes go, because half of the people don’t even know that eyes are actually set in the middle of your face not near the  hairline. The trick with drawing the nose first is that the eyes are placed on either side of the bridge and it’s easier for you to get the nose down so you have a guide for the eyes. To help you draw a realistic easy nose I have made a step by step sketching guide.

Shading

I have always found shading really relaxing so I enjoyed this assignment. The teacher had placed a mug on our table so I took a photo and saw where the light hit it and what the shadows created. We were asked to create depth in this drawing to make it real- life like. I used the blending tool a lot in sketches and it really helped me get the smooth look. After that, I went home and sketched out a pair of scissors that I like to cut my hair with. I saw where light hit it and I tried to make it look as real as possible with my shading and shadows. Comment and rate 1-10 if you want…

Perspective Drawing

This was really complicated but I was sick one day and spent 6 hours all on this right here. I am not very good at drawing but I am very proud of this one. I used my perspective thinking and techniques with this drawing. Perspective thinking is when you look at a picture and it has depth and you put things on an angle when your sketching to make it look like some items are farther away from others and making them seem smaller.

Anyways i actually liked this project i thought that it was really fun and calming, thx for checking this out! Later.
