Medieval times! Don’t you want to know about it?
What can we learn from the past and why does it matter to us today?
The past was a time that reflects to everything that happens in the future. Yesterday could have changed your life. Nobody knows. But we do know about the past. How we evolved. All these inventions that were created they helped us evolve too. Somethings we can reflect on, things that didn’t help us or that made things harder. Then there’s people like Putin and other leaders who don’t care about anyone and want all the power. People are still wired to want power and to be higher than others. What we can do is notice that war and fighting it doesn’t help or get us anywhere. I hope people will realize that and stop.
The Book Of The Lion
For this project we had to read another book while doing weekly role sheets. The book showed different worldviews and adventure. There were obstacles that needed to be crossed and they got through them by problem solving. The book was not the best and i rate it about a 2 out of 10 but it showed different worldviews.
My art
My art has a lot of features that display different things in the medieval times. I have a sun for how they would tell time. Time was important so was light which the sun also brings. I added women because they are a big part of time and a big part if the world. They make babies and are as good as men. I put a few crosses in because they were very big Christians. Horses were an officiant way of transportation so I thought I would make sure that was known. Food of course was and is a major factor in life. Without it we would all die. So thankfulness for food.
There is also an image of trading because it was a way to get food and also other goods. There were no stores so this was there shopping. I put a book in the art because storytelling was a way of getting information and a way we know a lot today. Stories was a way to get people close together. Lastly in the background I have added a church. All these aspects relate to the medieval times and have reflected on us today.
Sketch and Tell
For this small assignment we had to make a drawing showing how society gained and lost power. I wrote that giving the crown to a new leader who has different traits and intentions are a big factor. If there was a certain system it would be hard to switch or get into a different routine. It could also be the opposite. If the leader before had a bad routine and no respect. Then a new leader with a lot of respect and a good system comes it will be a successfulmonarchy.
Artwork choice Art
For this we had to add something for each column that we thought was good in the medieval times. For example knowledge I chose story’s because that was a way of passing down history and teaching. Here are all the slides.
Reflection:
I worked my hardest and I am most proud of my artwork choice art. I like thinking of things that are relevant and different from everyone else’s ideas. This was a fun assignment. I think i could have not done lower case I’s and maybe more depth but overall good. I feel like the sketch and tell was a little bit rushed but i still had some good ideas. I liked how i added that maybe they were respected more because I think that’s important. I could work on putting in more effort in even just the small assignments. I was not good at reading the book. I zoned off and overall I should just read it over again. My artwork is very glamorous. I am riding a horse which I think is very amazing. I added in all the aspects from my choice art. I think I could have made it look smoother. Also probably choosing a better photo. Even though I would never betray my horse. It looks a little chaotic. I think this was a good project and this is also the end of my blog. Thank you for reading.
If you want to comment you can comment something cool like if you like horses or if you have ridden one before! 👇🏽
