So far this year in humanities we have had one main project with the driving question “Why The World Needs More Canada.” In this project we had 2 main tasks the first being our thinking thursdays. For thinking Thursday we would whack the national and then m add a presentation on something that was happening in Canada. Mine was on the air Canada strike and how it would impact Canada. I was in the first one to go and it was quite stressful but the stress leading up was like the perfect amount and really pushed me to make this as good as i could, being in the first group to go there was not allot to go off of.

The multi-paragraph composition was something I was dreading from when the teachers announced it. To get ahead, I put it in Things right away and set myself deadlines for different sections to get it done in a timely manner, and that made it quite easy. Time management has always been something I’ve never been very good at, but this year, at the end of grade 9, it was getting a lot better and is now quite good.
For the final project, we created a class podcast with each episode lasting from 4-5 minutes. We transformed our multi-paragraph compositions into the podcast scripts and created class intro music using GarageBand. This was the most challenging part because I had no experience with GarageBand, so there was a steep learning curve and I had to watch a lot of YouTube tutorials. Overall, I’d say this was a pretty good start to the year. Hopefully, I keep getting better.
