My team has so far been very successful in the making of our metaphor machine. We gelled from the start when we had to agree on the revolution we were going to base our machine on. We all decided that France was the best option. Everyone said they wanted it because it was the most interesting, but it could have also been because it was our most recent topic so everyone remembered what happened the most. We had a very good brainstorming portion of the project which gave us lots of ideas to work with, which made the rest very easy. It was easier than usual because we were trying to think of ideas to take away rather than add.
We planned the machine one part at a time because we found it easiest to piece sections together when they already had a metaphor attached to it.
Our group also has much to offer as far as connections to the outside world. This gives us access to some of the supplies we need, like circuit material, small motors, welding tools, and scrap metal/wood.
So far I have contributed to the brainstorming of the project and the timeline. I shared ideas, wrote things down and did research.
Nothing has gone wrong so far but I would add more things to our timeline that could be connect together, so that we could write metaphors a little easier.
My goal is to have contributed my fair share to the hopefully great quality finished product.
