We were tasked with answering the question on why the world needs more canada. We answered this in two ways: a multi paragraph composition and a podcast episode. I chose to do my paragraph and podcast episode on canadian basketball because it has recently gained much popularity do to the olympics and it has much interest to me
The first part of this project was to start learning about our topic I had a good prior knowledge to this and was able to transfer my thoughts really well into a paragraph form in writing the paragraph it started of well and until I made a mistake with incorporating the driving question and other criteria after I wrote the paragraph this failed me because I felt like i couldn’t incorporate the criteria in without it sounding clunky and forced in the final paragraph I submitted was good but I personally felt like I could do better.
I had to quickly switch gears to the second half of my project so I could refresh my mind and change or ideas into a podcast I felt pretty good in changing my paragraph into a script because I felt like I was able to have a lot smoother transition because it was just a bit of formatting and i could focus on the content a bit more. In recording I used the skills we learned in maker to form a successful podcast and I was able to hit my goal and come out with a product I was proud of. Sadly when I submitted it it came out weird but I made the change and am happy with my product.
Overall I feel like I could have made stronger connections but I think I got my point across in a entertaining way that my audience would be excited to listen to when they got the chance to find our podcast watch I think all the skills I learned in this project will critically help me in my future.
