“Thank you for coming to my presentation of learning. I am the expert on my own learning. I am also responsible and accountable for my own learning. You can expect me to give an honest evaluation of my progress. We will discuss my strengths and opportunities for growth. Thank you in advance for listening and for offering feedback that I can use to improve as a learner.”

This year I grew as a learner, student and person.  Throughout the year I really improved my skills in a lot of subjects. For example I really taught myself how to take proper notes. In humanities I feel like I exelled at my research capabilities and checking my sources for my research. In maker I improved my knowledge of my iPad and how to navigate it with shortcuts. In science I learned more about the world around us and how I interact with it.

For my first topic to talk about I chose resilience. I had some setbacks and struggle with time management I wont lie about that but I still would try my hardest to get my work in. For example with the comic book project I got some last minute revisions but I got it done after my sports and I might have had a bit of a later night but I had resilience and worked through some time constraints.

For my second topici chose integrity. This year I can proudly say I never copy and pasted something from artificial inteligince, I did use AI for research and making pictures or other micelanious things like that but I kept my work non plagiarized. I also used my own research and ideas for my projects. My mindset was to learn how I can use digital media as a tool and not be burdened by it so I really tried to stretch my limits.

For my third topic I chose self care I didn’t keep this as a huge consideration throughout the year and felt very burndened with a lot of my work thoughout the year. I often/ never asked for help this year unless it was offered to me and sometimes I felt too nervous to go into tutorial for some of my “stupid” questions son I would go try to work it out myself.

Next year I am ready for new projects that allow me to grow and properly know how to use my technology as a helpful tool and not a burden but I lost wish to use it to plan work times which can be very difficult sometimes with my busy schedule outside of school. This upcoming year I want to show my interests more in my work, and I feel like when I put a bit more of “me” into a project I work much better and efficiently.
