User Guide: Kiera Brand: PLP Learner Model: Kiera , iOS 1.3 PRODUCT GUIDE Congratulations on your new PLP student, commonly referred to as “Kiera”. Your new  student comes with functions including but not limited to the following: – painting – learning at my own pace – speaking French – listening to music GETTING STARTED Before you access Kiera for the first time, you will need to make sure you’re not being loud. Kiera will engage most favourably if you let Kiera approach on their own terms. ACCESSIBILITY  You can find Kiera in one of their four classes, Humanities, PE, Maker and French SETTINGS Kiera has three primary settings:  student, regular person, and enthusiastic painter.

Setting 1: Student Student is the mode you will encounter Kiera in from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 3 pm, excluding lunch.  The majority of this time, you will find Kiera learning or trying to.  Do not attempt an off-topic conversation in this mode because it will lead to a distracted Kiera that can easily switch into regular person mode and then have a more difficult time switching back into student mode.  But Kiera will be happy to have an informative discussion about the topic at hand.

Setting 2: Regular Person In regular person mode, you may encounter Kiera at variety of institutions including the grocery store and maybe a museum.  But this is a rare occurrence and if you do encounter Kiera in these environments, Kiera may have a difficult time recognizing you or be prone to skittishness.

Setting 3: Enthusiastic Painter It may be difficult to interact with Kiera in this setting and if you manage to get their attention it will cause an abrupt restart and Kiera will become aggravated. Therefore it is best not to engage with this mode, especially when focussed. WARNINGSn  This device may…

• shut down randomly whenever overloaded with information
• not be equipped with filtering capabilities which can cause some information not be saved
• , not be able to use multiple platforms at once
• glitch unexpectedly especially in stressful environments causing the device to twitch

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem	Solution
Kiera has shut down.	Offer the device a drink of cold water.  They may have shut down because of overheating.  Or bring to a quiet place.   The device will be more capable of restarting.
Kiera is processing information at a slower pace than expected.	Try bringing them headphones for a quieter environment.  Less information at once can be processed faster.
Kiera has become hyper focused.	Don’t interrupt.  This will cause a distracted and disgruntled Kiera for the rest of the day. (Hopefully this will only last 5 minutes but if not try to suggest moving towards the goal at hand.)

TIPS TO MAINTAIN OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE Keep minimal distractions and low volume in classrooms. (If this is not possible, Kiera will most likely request to move to a better environment within your sight.) Keep fuelled with ice-cold water and salty snack. Bring Kiera into nature to reduce stress levels. You can not sue if you believe the new iOS 1.3 is a downgrade from previous updates.
