Destionation Imagination…. If you haven’t read my DI part 1 blog post do that first because I explain what it is, when it was, and why we had to do it. This is the blog on DI Provincals.

WHERE WAS IT?

WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DO IT A SECOND TIME?

Well, because regionals went super well we got into Provincials! Provincials is basically just more, and better teams. Our teachers wanted all the teams to improve on our preformaces from regionals, and revise. So….

WHAT DID WE REVISE?

My team and I felt very satisfied with how we did in regionals so there weren’t any big changes. We did revise little things like simplifying some of the script, making ques for eachtoher clearer, more enthusiasm, and many more little things. Everything went smoothly in regionals so we thought we didnt have to fix anything major, and I will let you know how that went….

HOW DID PROVINCALS GO?

My team and I arrived at 8:30 at Johnston Heights out in surrey, luggage for Ottawa (yes! WE WERE FLYING TO OTTAWA THE SAME DAY) and ready to get it over with. We all weren’t nervous or scared as our prefomace was at a point were we couldn’t edit or revise anymore, and we had preformed it before. The Instant challenge went well, my team worked well together and we completed the task. So far everything was going well.

Then, the challenge! We were prepared and mentally ready, (mostly) I was only partially freaking out (not as much as regionals.) GO TIME!!!! The prefomace went smoothly, nothing went extremely wrong. The amount of relief I had once we said time was insane. Here’s the video of our preformance.

WHERE DID WE PLACE?

As PLP 9 had to leave the tournament before the award ceremony to fly to Ottawa, we found out where we placed the day after. Ms Willemse knew I would be upset s0 she told me before our class meeting.

How after so much hard work and good responses from our preformance, we got 5th??? My heart seriously dropped when I heard that. Now that im looking back on the fact we placed 5 out of 8, I don’t care as much as that number doesn’t change what I learned and experienced the past few months.

LOOKING BACK ON DI, HOW DO I FEEL?

I got blessed this DI with an amazing team to work with, which made this whole experiance 10 times better. I am proud of the work we produced and I dont think 5th is what we should have got, but Ill let it go. Anyways, this DI went way smoother than last year and im very happy about that.
