“Thank you for coming to my presentation of learning. I am the expert on my own learning. I am also responsible and accountable for my own learning. You can expect me to give an honest evaluation of my progress. We will discuss my strengths and opportunities for growth. Thank you in advance for listening and for offering feedback that I can use to improve as a learner.”
Am I ready to move in to the next grade level? A good question, and one I am going to answer in this post. Based off of the marks I see, no I am not ready too move on. But what is ready? Is it good grades, or is it an understanding of the curriculum because for kindergarten math: I needed to know what 5+5 was. It was how I knew 5+5 was 10 that would dictate my grade. But if I knew that, but didn’t know how to explain it in the way that was expected, I might get a lower grade. That is why I think that I am ready to move on to the next grade level. Because I think that I like to say what happened instead of what I think happened. My way of reflecting is more in my mind than on paper. By saying what happened, I reflect on my own, but I don’t add that to the blog. And I think that for future years I’m going to have to learn how to do that. But for now, I’m ready to move on.
Thank you for listening/reading.
