The Halifax Explosion
The Halifax Explosion was a massive explosion that took place in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This massive explosion resulted in the largest human-made explosion known to date. This explosion was caused when a ship loaded with explosives bound for the battlefields of the World War 1 collided with another ship. The whole north end of Halifax was destroyed by this explosion.

For this blog post we had to make a Diary Entry about a certain soldier that died during World War I.
I first had to find a soldier. To do this I used the Canadian War Memorial Website where I could look up a soldier that died during the war.
History in 5; The Manhattan Project
When we we got to school the first thing we started learning about was the Manhattan Project. This was a secret US government project involving the research and development of the first atomic bomb. In the first few weeks we learned all about this topic and had many little assignments on the topic. One of them was writing a letter from the perspective of a worker in one of the secret cities of the Hanford Site.
