World War I, How the heck did it start!?

World War I, How the heck did it start?

So for this blog post I will be explaining the main causes of World War I

A quick summary:

World War 1 also known as the Great War started after a series of events originating in Europe. Many European countries were at fault and a major assassination  that escalated quickly and triggered the war that was bound to happen some time soon.

World War I was caused by several imperialistic countries who weren’t satisfied with what they had. Austria-Hungary at the time conquered many places angering other countries causing tension in Europe. Austria-Hungary mostly angered Serbia. These two countries had a feud that led to the assassination of Franz Ferdinand. This assassination led to Austria-Hungary declaring war on Serbia. After this event many other countries got involved since several alliances had been created previously tying many countries to the war. Beginning with the Dual Alliance formed by Austria-Hungary and Germany, to later create the Triple Alliance with the addition of Italy. And then the creation of The Triple Entente formed by France, Britain and Russia. After Austria-Hungary declared war, Russia got involved to defend Serbia. Germany seeing Russia mobilizing, declared war on Russia. (Protecting Austria). Then France was then drawn in against Germany and Austria-Hungary. Germany attacked France through Belgium pulling Britain into war.
