Over the last month or so in scimathics we have been working on concepts from both science and math. By learning about trigonometry and solar energy/panels we have been able to combine both science and math. Trigonometry at our level can be summed up simply with sin, cos, tan and the way they interact with the angles and side lengths of triangles. We used trigonometry with science to show how solar panels interact with the sun at different angles. On the science side of things we learned how solar panels work and how the sun projects light. At the very end of the unit, me and my video partner logan created a video that shows how we incorporated all of these topics into one well-informed, good looking and original video.
