Hiya Everyone!

Today I’ll be speaking about our recreation of the following video for Maker!

Run Take #1

I was paired with Bobby, Meghan, Liam, and Melissa. We scouted locations and chose a trail beside the Myrtle grass field. I was the videographer/editor and the background runner, Meghan was the main runner, Liam was the secondary runner, and Bobby was the monster.

We filmed everything in one day. Despite some chaos, we worked well together and had fun! After filming, we gathered and edited our footage and audio. Overall, our group worked well together. We also received feedback on our video such as to improve its accuracy to the original.

Run Take #2

In Pre Production, we used feedback to improve our shots, choose a better location, and improve our accuracy to the original video. We also made changes to the roles. During Production, we didn’t have much time but we managed to finish filming in two days with only one injury. In the end our revised video synced well with the original. 

Overall, it was super fun to make both of these and we all worked well together! I do wish in the end we had more creative flexibility so we could’ve included all five of us in the remake (I had a large group).
