Hey everyone! In this post I’ll be talking about the Maker portion of Alberta! Wanna hear about Humanities? Here’s the link (will be added when Humanities post is uploaded).

We made 4 videos for this project in Alberta. Each ties with the main competency of the project:

🤔 Question: “I can share ideas, ask questions, and research information from a variety of sources”.

“What Inspires Me?” was the question we were asked to answer in this video. The purpose of this video was to tell our story since we’re also exploring the story of the West. My video focuses on programming, which is what inspires me. I hope you enjoy it!

This video was a fun group project, I was with Charlie & Lucas. This video focused on our ability to share our ideas, ask questions, and research information through the communication competency since the ability to communicate with each other was a huge part of this video.

The point of this video is to gather interviews throughout the week in Alberta to support my Investigation into the west and to help answer the Driving Question of this project. We demonstrated the competency of communication as we had to utilize our communication skills during our interviews.

This was a fun TikTok style group video that was a quick overview of where we went on our trip! I was with Liam & Caelum.

Answering the Essential Question

“🎥 How might I use the moving image to tell a story? 📸”

Using the moving image to tell a story can result in a combination of elements from visual to auditory. The medium of moving images allows creation through a collection of images, sounds, and music, bringing together a collective experience that can captivate and engage audiences in a unique way. Through planning, editing, and post-production techniques, storytellers can shape their stories in unique and compelling ways. In the end the moving image medium is a canvas that allows creators to craft immersive, memorable.
