Before spring break we were talking about what Canada means to us. Some people are making kids from all around Canada to explain what Canada means to them. We were able to have two ladies come and share to us what it was all about. We even installed an app called here’s my Canada. They told us the top three winners get a prize so we all got excited. Everyone in our class was supposed to make a 30 sec or less video explaining what Canada means to them.
During class a few days before spring break we watched each others video and gave feed back. Mine was not a good video so I changed the whole thing. I got some tips on what to revise and I did. At first I made my video like a commercial for Canada but then I changed it so it was about why Canada is special to me, not a commercial. I explained how my grandparents were able to come here and how diversity helps Canada be the amazing place it is.
The first version I made of the video.(The roughest rough draft ever)
The way I created the video was with iMovie. I got to writing my 30 sec video. I decided to make it about my family so it would represent me better. I wrote on small paragraph so I didn’t pass the time limit. Then I got some photos online and put them in the iMovie. After that I practiced the paragraph until I memorized it. I was finally ready to do my voice over. I had to do the voice over a couple of times to get it perfect. Finally I added the bumper and was ready.
The new and final version of the video
As you can see I tried to improve my video. Hopefully someone in our class wins because they all have made great videos.
