My Best Work This Year

This has been my second year in the PLP Program. Being in PLP has truly brought out and exercised my creativity, dedication, motivation, and growthmind set. Almost all of the assignments I completed this year, I have been proud of. Last year the assignments that I enjoyed creating the most were the three TWIL blog posts because of the freedom we had in what we wanted to do. Thus, there is no surprise that my favourite assignment this year were the three my favourite assignments. I also think that they are examples of my best work.

I believe that the three blog post reflections I created on the civil rights movement are perfect examples of the creative mind set I have grown while in PLP. In the first of my three blog posts, me and my classmate Zakaria created a rap battle music video with him being MLK and me being Eugene Bull Connor. We had to spend a large portion of the time creating that video on writing rhymes that make sense for the topic. To check out my first blog post reflection click here.

Rap Battle so Heat the Crib Lit on Fire

My second blog post was a video I created where I interview myself in different costumes. The topic I focused on was whether the KKK preaching white supremacy should be permitted under the freedom of speech act. Since I had more than one view on this topic, I decided to dress as different characters to debate the topic. If you are interestead in checking out this blog post, click here.

Discussions Around the Dinner Table

My third and final blog post reflection was on the topic of how the media influence opinions and thoughts. I decided to use an app that creates animations similar to how a flip book creates animations. In my blog post I discussed how I think media influences the opinion of the general public with the help of the animations I used. To view my third and final blog post, click here.

What is the role of the media in exposing injustice and influencing public opinion?

These have been the three pieces of work that I am most proud of this year.
