We started with the simile poem and a metaphor poem, in this poem we learned about rhyming and how to relate part of our world view to something related for me I chose basketball. We also did a sound poem witch I chose to be based on school it is all the sounds of getting up going to school then going home to sleep then it repeats to show how school goes on and on.
After that.
after that we made more poems which were haikus and found poems. For the haikus you are supposed to have three lines the first has 5 syllables the second having 7 and the third having 5. For the found poem you had to get sentences and descriptions from outside source I chose to do mine with the description of words from an Encyclopedia. We learned how to research and also how to better understand syllables.
Even more?!?!
now more poems we made were experience poem and an imaginary poem, for the experience poem we would take something that happened to us that impacted our world view. But for the imaginary poem we made and imaginary situation that we then described what senses we would use like taste, smell, touch, etc. here we learned how to connect to our world view more and also learn more tools of poetry.
The last poem…..hopefully.
So the last poem we made was a self portrait poem where we talked about us are hobbies big things in our life and more. For this poem we had to use lots of the different parts of a poem and put it into this big poem I don’t think I used enough parts but i think and hope its ok.
