The Trip to the Craziest Place in Canada

As I stepped out of the bus I had been on for the past 5 hours the cold dry air of the Canadian  Rockies rushed in and I saw the coolest mountain I had ever seen. A few weeks ago me and 25 ish of my classmates went on a week trip through the Canadian Rockies in which I learned so much. This is my blog post about that trip for what I learned in my maker projects during and after the trip. In maker we made 4 videos the investigative video, the at home video challenge, the TikTok style video, and the silent video. The driving question for this project is how can we use the moving video to tell a story? Over all of these projects I learned to edit better and tell story’s better as well as appreciate how much work goes into making videos. The at home video was about what inspires me I choose to talk about my hobbies. You can see this video on my YouTube channel below:

I haven’t ever thought about what inspires me and this project made me think about it. In the TikTok video I worked with 4 of my friends to make a transition video showing all the crazy places in the Rockies that turned out great. I think it really helped grow my and my groups team work skills.

In my silent video we worked in the ghost town of 3 valley gap to build a story. This project took lots of planing and let me hang out with people I usually wouldn’t. The video Is on a YouTube channel called caleums productions.

Finally the investigative video, our task was to interview view people in the Rockies connecting to our Theseus and make a video out of it. Honestly I wish I interviewed more people but I ended up using two successful interviews. For me this was the hardest video to make just because I could do so much with it and didn’t know where to start but here’s the final project:
