Welcome back into my head. This is my write up for my Raven Brings the Light project. In this project we were told to create an object that represented the “Raven Brings the Light” story and used many different properties of light. We also needed to include Ibn al-Hatham’s knowledge on light, which is that light travels in straight lines. The properties of light I used are reflections, I have mirrors on angles to reflect an image into your eyes, refraction, I have no lenses, concave lenses and convex lenses to look at the image on the mirror. This made me able to see the default image as well as see it in different sizes. I also used opacity, translucence and transparent by using slides to filter out light. This also made me able to see it in different filters like with sepia and so on. We were also supposed to include some form of symmetry so I made my drawings in First Nation style, which has reflective, rotational and bilateral symmetrical properties.
