Introduction:

This project was an memorable learning experience for me. My blog post will most definitely be different from other blog posts you read since I was one of the few people who didn’t go to Loon Lake. This was due to the fact my family went on a trip a week before Loon Lake which, was a prime reason why I decided not to go. However, in my own opinion, I feel as if it was very difficult to get the work assignment to us done and expected work that was impossible to do.

Smart Goal:

The smart goal was the goal that we were suppose to achieve or work towards in the sheets we were given. This sheet we were told that we were suppose to finish by the end of the week. For this part of the project, if I were to do it again I would make sure to read the expectations for the goal more closely. If I read it more closely I would not have to end up redoing my goals. However, I think I did an amazing job writing detail descriptions on my goal. Overall, this part of the project wasn’t very difficult.

Goal Feedback:

When I got to goal feedback I realized that there is some activities in the document that wouldn’t be possible for me to complete. This included taking photos of six of my peers goals, this wasn’t possible for me since I didn’t have six people in the class I was in with goals that were ready. However, I was luckily able to get feedback on my goals from two sources. I believe for this part of the project I did a wonderful job on writing down on the feedback I received and reflecting on what need to be done to make my work better.

Processing:

Processing was my favourite part of the project. This was due to it mostly asking for illustrations on my understanding of the topic. I think I did an amazing job at expressing my general thoughts through art. However, I think I could followed the guidelines of the book more instead of just doodling whatever. Overall, this part of the project was quite fun.

Evidence:

For the evidence part of the project, I wasn’t able to get most of the work done. This was due mostly due to the work meant to be done for this project, mostly being videos. This included interviews on how the goal impacted others, photos of my new learning and a tutorial for how to do my goal. The problem with this project is that it expected that our goal was already impacting other even though, even though we made these goals around 2 days ago. This is the reason I wasn’t able to get most of these assignments done which caused a great deal of stress for me since I wasn’t sure if this would effect my mark.

Reflection:

The reflection taught me to think  about how this project affected my life. One thing I could of improved upon was taking this part of the project more seriously. By this point in the project, I just wanted it to be done with and tried to answer the questions correctly. However, I made this wonderful emoji to represent my feelings. I have to say that I am proud of that piece of art since I have been having a creating block when it comes to art.

Overall:

At least for me, I saw this project as lacking in direction. Many times when I was completing the work they assigned a task which I found to be either impossible or didn’t make sense to assign us when we just made our goals two days ago. However, I understand that the teachers had a lot on their plate and appreciate that they would give us work to do that is similar to Loon Lake. Overall, this project taught me to become more independent with my learning.
