How does balance within my life create opportunities?
Introduction:
This project taught me strategies to better my life and become the person I would like to be. All the assignments in this project were mainly centred on ways to better manage your life and to achieve the goals you would like to achieve. Overall, this project taught me how to become the person I would like to and how to make life easier for me.
Positive Braining Training:
The positive brain training was an interesting part of this project. Each day of the school week we had to do mediation, conscious act of kindness, exercise, journaling and gratitude. Even though these could get boring to do, I found to be refreshing since we were given a lot of time to really think about each prompt. I believe personally, that I did not do well on meditation prompts. This is mainly due to me having trouble concentrating and meditating in a class room setting. However, I really enjoyed and did well on journaling and reflecting on how do I honestly answer this journaling prompt. In general, I found this keystone to be pleasant and a time to reflect.
7 Habits: A Review
Something I wasn’t not expecting in this project was to go back to the 7 habits. We had to do a group review of the 7 habits, I was one people who review the 7 habit. This review included reading a story about one of the 7 habits and explaining how it relates to the 7 habits. The habit I got to read was the 7th habit and I believe my group explained the meaning of that habit quite well to the rest of the class. However, I think I could of encouraged my group member more to share more of their thoughts. In general, this part of the project prepared perfectly for the Atomic Habits.
Reading the Atomic Habits:
Reading the atomic habits really made me think about how I can improve my life. The Atomic Habits is book all about habits and how we can break or continue certain habits. At the start I frequently took notes when reading a chapter however, I stoped after chapter 4 since writing the notes would make reading the two chapter be an hour instead of just 20 minutes.
Even though I often got bored reading this book, I found some of it’s advice for how to achieve my goals quite useful. I think his advice can most defiantly improve my life if implemented.
I look forward to attempting to reach goals through his methods in the future.
Core Competence
Decision-Making: I can evaluate ethical implications and make complex judgements while identifying and respecting diverse communities
I believe I have met this competence. This is due how through this entire project I have been both reflecting on my own life form positive brain training and judging how I can make my life better through reading atomic habits.
Conclusion
Overall, creating balance and become more organized can help to reach your goals by maintaining good habits. I’m quite happy we did this project since it’s methods of self-improvement I will most defiantly use in my life. In general, this project taught me how to effectively manage my life and become the person I want to through achieve my goals through having good habits.
