In our PLP-Science class, for the past couple months we have been working on a project called small but mighty, that is focused on matter at a microscopic level. First, we learned about cells, of both plants and animals and their differences, and then we learned about bacteria and pathogens. We then did an activity in which we swabbed bacteria off of common public objects in our school, and swabbed them into a pétri dish, to observe mould grow from the bacteria Over several days. Here is what it looked like after one and a half days:

We learned about how the immune system is able to fight off pathogens, and more specifically your bacteria and certain physical traits too (ex. Sneezing). We learned about the different kinds of bacteria, such as mitochondria, T-cells and white blood cells, and how they work intricately together to keep you healthy, which I found quite fascinating! For the final project, we made a health poster on Canva incorporating everything we learned, and promoting how to stay healthy and the evidence behind it.
