SFU Engineers Without Borders is partnering with Fair Trade Vancouver to host an interactive, stimulating youth conference, Youth for a Fair Today on April 26th at Simon Fraser University.
  
The day-long conference will feature discussions, discovery, critical thinking and a move to empowerment and action with regards to the Fair Trade system. This conference is an excellent opportunity for students to network with other passionate youth, add invaluable leadership experience to a resume and solidify concrete ways in which they can take action in their own community to enact lasting, sustainable change abroad. 
 Students from grades 10 – 12 are encouraged to register.

StemCellTalks for health science students

Hosted by spinal cord researchers from the Blusson Spinal Cord Centre at VGH and sponsored by VCH Research Institute, is an interactive, one day event introducing students to the science and the ethical, legal, and social issues of stem cell research.

Focus of the discussions and activities will be on spinal cord injury and multiple sclerosis and participants will have the opportunity to talk to world leaders in the field!

Location: ICORD spinal cord research program at the Blusson Spinal Cord Centre, 818 West 10th Avenue, Vancouver, BC, Canada V5Z 1M9 8:00am to 4:00pm Registration: Applications are open until Friday, April 6th.

Artists For KIDS Summer volunter position

AFK Work experience program designed for students with an interest in the visual arts. Art Assistant July 8 to the 13 and July 15 to 20.

This is a one week residential stint at outdoor school. Learn how to prep for a variety of mediums, learn how to handle equipment in a safe and correct manner, assist the teacher in supporting the students at the camp, AND participate in some of the recreational activities offered to the students.

All room and board will be provided!!!
