What you will gain

What you will do
- discover the different career opportunities available in public safety and security
- meet women who are subject-matter experts in their field
- tour federal public safety organizations and experience their day-to-day operations:
- Canada Border Services Agency
- Canadian Security Intelligence Service
- Correctional Service Canada
- Public Safety Canada
- Royal Canadian Mounted Police
- Parole Board of Canada
What we are looking for
Female high school students (grade 11 and secondary 4 (grade 10) in Quebec might be considered ahead of others) who:
- meet the FSWEP eligibility criteria
- are interested in a career in the field of public safety and security
- are passionate about helping people and communities
- demonstrate leadership, initiative and flexibility
Submit your application and don’t forget to self-declare as a woman to be considered! Under the Employment equity self-declaration section of your application, answer “yes” to Gender-Female.
Also include your resumé (for example, you can include information such as school, grade, extracurricular activities, volunteer work, work experience if any, etc). Your resumé and your response to the question below will be used to select candidates.
Conditions of Employment
- The employment is for five (5) full days.
- You must be available from July 10-14, 2023 during the day for the entire duration of the program.
- Obtain a Security clearance (we will guide you through the process).
- Parental consent to participate (if you are under 18).
- Selected students must arrange and pay for their own travel and all other related costs if coming from another area/city than the job location.
Additional requirements
- You must have a Social Insurance Number before the start of employment.
