The Friends of the North Vancouver District Public Library is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing the NVDPL services and programs. Some of our projects include funding the popular Children’s Summer Reading Club and the North Shore Writer’s Festival.
Our largest fundraising activities are three annual book sales that take place in the Community Room adjacent to the Lynn Valley Library. Volunteers unpack and organize books for the sale and work the cash table.
We are seeking interested volunteers to work at our next book sale. Set-Up is February 6th and the sale runs February 7th, 8th & 9th. Shifts are usually 2 hours and volunteers can work as many as desired; they also receive 10 free items for volunteering. Dress is casual and friends can work together. We also provide student reference letters for work completed well on request. Following is a schedule of the shifts available in the upcoming book sale.
