Why participate in S.W.E.A.T.?
The Art Institute of Vancouver’s annual S.W.E.A.T. program is a unique opportunity that provides students with valuable work experience in a simulated and creative work environment. Particularly valuable to those high school students who are required to complete work experience as part of graduation requirements, S.W.E.A.T. allows students access to a broader range of fields, making their work experience relevant to what they really want to do.
What you will have the Opportunity to learn?
Students will use industry-related technology in a facility that bridges the gap between education and industry. Faculty members will guide you through the collaborative process, mirroring the work environment that an employee might find in the industry. Our faculty will guide you as you explore the realities of working in your chosen field.
At S.W.E.A.T., you can:
- Find and pursue your creative arts education and goals
- Learn real-world communication skills
- Learn critical-thinking skills and a professional demeanor
- Learn adaptability and responsibility
- Work in teams to plan and make decisions
