So last Thursday everyone in PLP went to the spring exhibition 2023, which was very fun because for the grade 8 topic of the exhibition we had to go to Oregon in the US, the reason we went there is because we had to interview a business about what they would want in an ad for their business read about the trip here.
the actual exhibition was mostly enjoyable because of the way people visited it wasn’t like a big group all at once it was more like a steady flow of people so you weren’t overwhelmed, also because of the chipotle burrito I had before first time trying chipotle did not disappoint, or maybe it was because our booth looked pretty nice and did not look as bad as last time, another contributing factor is the tethers kind of left us alone because they felt we were responsible enough or most of us.
About the setup all the grade 8’s had to set up the gym by putting these blue thin mats over the floor to stop spills and dirt I think, anyways what’s worse than having the most inexperienced people do something a lot of these people doing that thing it was really annoying because everyone got in the way. When we were rolling the mats up it was much easier because a lot of people went home so it w as just like 10 kids there and it went way faster. Also when taking things down we had to take some stuff to the drama room which is down a flight of stairs but luckily I was strong enough to lift it something.
For the thing we were presenting it was the ad for one of the businesses in Oregon coast, the business that I was making an ad for was Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area. We spoke to a very enthusiastic ranger who actually had some experience in advertising so that was nice, while the other group was on the trip we worked on learning advertising techniques and making drafts for the ad. Overall I think my finished project was pretty good.
thanks for reading.
