♾️ This Is Rielly Important. 🇨🇦

Louis Riel Statue at the Manitoba Legislative Building

Canada has been here for a long time, more than 150 years! It’s made up of 10 provinces and 3 territories. The story of Canada is full of  inspiring people who helped make it what it is today. One person in this story is Louis Riel. He fought for the rights of Métis people and helped create Manitoba.

This is the main focus of PLP 9’s new project called “Let’s Get Riel!” This idea looks into the interesting story of Louis Riel, highlighting his important role in shaping the nation, as well as learning about how he has been portrayed over the years. Obviously at the centre of the project lies a driving question: “How has the portrayal of Riel changed over time?” The ultimate end goal was to craft a multi-paragraph response that dives into the ever changing perspectives on Riel, highlighting the dynamic shifts in how he has been portrayed over time.

First things first, we learnt who the Métis are, and what their story is. Within this first step of building our knowledge, we learnt all about the Red River Settlement, as well as some key players. Here is some evidence of my learning:

Timeline:

Credit to Kaia for the timeline because I was away for that day.

The next step to help us build our knowledge was to see how Louis Riel was portrayed in various texts. In this step, we had a few investigations, the first one was all about Louis Riel Statues. For this investigation, we found out how statues can represent people in different ways, Louis riel has a few statues of him across Canada, and some people found offending and had to be taken down. The second investigation was a video by Heritage Minute, which is a series of 60-second short films, that are produced by Historical Canada. The video we watched was posted in 1991, where we wrote a paragraph on how the video portrayed him. This helped me get an understanding on how in that time frame he was portrayed specifically by the publishers. Here is my paragraph from the heritage minute video:

The final investigation was a video that was super interesting and I found it quite funny. Check it out here: Vimeo

The third step of building knowledge was how to become a pro writer. I personally find myself writing as if I am talking, so this was definitely a helpful step of the project. For investigation 1, we did something called “Frayer Layers” which is a graphic organizer that is used for vocabulary building and word analysis. Here is my Frayer model:

A few other things we focussed on in this section was how to write a paragraph, this really helped me! I am quite a visual learner myself, so having things colour coded, and having a legend to follow helped me. A basic paragraph consists of 4 parts; topic sentence, the development, an example or two to help support the development, and finally the summary. This helped me for my Heritage Minute paragraph and my multi paragraph!

Ok.. that was a lot, but now we were at that stage where we knew so much more, more about Louis Riel, more about Canada’s history, more about the Métis, and more about how to write like a boss! We were ready to start putting all of our knowledge into a topic sentence! Although writing a singular topic sentence sounds easy, I personally found it quite challenging. So much information in one singular sentence. It took me a few drafts, but I eventually ended up with a pretty solid sentence: “Louis Riel’s portrayal has transformed significantly over the years, reflecting shifting perspectives on his role and impact on Métis rights and identity.”

Now that we have our start to our multi-paragraph response, I think we were finally ready to start writing it!! It did take a while to start getting the flow, but after a few drafts of paragraphs and squeezing everything in.. Voila- 3 paragraphs! I was pretty proud of my work, I made 3 easy to understand paragraphs about the driving question. It was quite the process, with plenty of revisions and drafts. Check out all my drafts and my final product here:

Here is a final look at my Multi-Paragraph Response:

What did I learn?

At the start of this project, I had no idea on who Louis Riel was, which is actually sad. He played a big role in shaping Manitoba, and is a big part of Canadian History.  Like I said earlier, I learnt the basics on writing paragraphs which actually helped me so much. I can use what I learnt in the future especially the writing tips and tricks!

Why did we learn this?

This was an important part of Canadian history, and since I live in Canada, it’s a good thing to know. Now I have a better understanding of the history of the place I live, and I learnt a lot more about the Métis too! It’s an incredibly important thing to understand the perspectives on individuals, like Louis, and to see how he was viewed from different perspectives of the Métis.

Overall I am proud of the work that I did in this project, I learnt a lot that I will bring with me into the future, and I feel like this was a fun important project and a great way to end the first semester!

🇨🇳 Xinhai Revolution — 2024 Winter Exhibition ❄️

🇨🇳 Xinhai Revolution — 2024 Winter Exhibition ❄️

你好 and welcome to todays blog post.

I honestly can’t believe we have already done the Winter Exhibition. It feels like we just got back from Loon Lake! (We kind of did)

This semester in humanities was all about revolutions, but our overall project was so much more than learning about one revolution. It was fun, challenging, and took me out of my comfort zone. We had to create a Rube Goldberg machine, one of those crazy contraptions that perform simple tasks with a ton of unnecessary steps. But here’s the twist – each step of our machine had to represent an event from our assigned revolution.

To start this project off, we read Animal Farm by George Orwell. I enjoyed this book, and I think it was a good way to start off the revolution project. Once we finished the book, we got split into groups based on our revolution rankings. I ended up in a group of 7 people (including myself) we were the Xinhai Revolution. One way I challenged myself as a learner, is going with the flow. I was originally put in the Russian Revolution, which I was stoked about, but the teacher asked me to move to the Xinhai Group. I was slightly unsure at the time, but I said yes, because I like to challenge myself. So going into the Xinhai group, not knowing anything about it was probably a good thing.

Now I want to tell you all about the Xinhai Revolution…

To understand our revolutions more, we made infographics. I used an app called Canva, which made my infographic match the theme. It covered the four main stages of the revolution, plus a quick overview and timeline.

Check out my final infographic:

Like all my learning, I went through drafts. Here are all of my drafts from the infographic process:

In order to gather information for my infographic, I had to research. Thankfully our teachers supplied each group with good sources to help us gain more information about our revolution. I really recommend this video if you are wanting to learn more about the Xinhai Revolution.

Now that I’m a Xinhai Revolution expert, we started gearing up for the exhibition. Before diving into building our metaphor machines, we brainstormed individual ideas for our machine connections. My contribution to our final machine was the see saw. It represented the in equality that happened when the government gave the railway job to the group with more power and took it away from the local groups. This event is important because it is one of the main reasons for sparking the 14 provinces against the Qing Government.

Once we all had our ideas, we merged them all together to create the final blue print.

As we began building, our teachers told us to make a burn down chart. This helped each group to brake down the things they needed to do and when they needed to be done. This also allowed us to see what we have done and completed. Our initial goal was to have one step done every day or so, until the exhibition. Each group member had a job. So while some of us started to build, others started on the documentary.

My assigned job for the documentary was script writer and narrator. Although, my group wanted to give our documentary an interesting twist. We did it Kardashian style. Which was definitely an interesting script writing experience.

We faced plenty of ups and downs during the design process. We had some aesthetic problems that we could have planned better before starting to build. We faced a lot of trial and error, but that’s what helped us grow as a group of learners. My group was great at never giving up, as many times as our machine did fail, we just kept persevering. I unfortuanelty left my group to finish the rest of the building and final touches, because I was off to Australia. They all did a great job when I left to make it even more cohesive and aestheticly pleasing. Overall I think my group worked very well together, we helped one another out, and provided ideas.

Sure, it got tough and stressful at times, but in the end, it was a valuable learning experience. My big takeaways? Don’t give up, be patient, and being a Kardashian is quite exhausting.

And to answer the big question – “How do ideas drive change?” Well, one of our learning steps in this project was getting a good understanding of the word “metaphor.” I have decided to answer the driving question sort of as a metaphor.

Ideas are like seeds that grow into big changes. When people have new thoughts or ways of doing things, it can lead to important shifts in how we live and work. Imagine someone comes up with a better way to grow crops or a new gadget that makes life easier. These ideas can spread, and soon many people start using them. That’s how ideas drive change—they spark new ways of thinking and doing stuff. It’s not always about big inventions; even small, simple ideas can add up and make a difference. So, when people share and act on ideas, they can shape the world around them for the better, or for the worse.

Thanks for joining my revolution of learning!

The Wild West of Canada: How Geography Shapes Our Identity.

The Wild West of Canada: How Geography Shapes Our Identity.

🏞️ Introduction

It’s official, I have hiked the same trail as the queen. R.I.P. Read more about my trip to the Rocky Mountains..

I’ve just completed our first humanities AND maker project, and it’s been quite the fascinating journey. This project was all about the west, we had two driving questions, one for maker and one for humanities. This is my humanities blog post, you can check out the maker post here.

The humanities driving question was “How has the geography of the West shaped who we are?” To kick things off, we embarked on a road trip through the WILD WEST! (BC and Alberta.) Along the way, we had the privilege of witnessing breathtaking landscapes and deepening our understanding of geography. The first thing I learnt was the true definition of the question “what is geography?” Don’t worry, you will learn the answer in just a jiffy- (I just learnt that word!)

🌲 About the Trip

We drove through so many incredible landscapes that included lush forests, rugged mountains, pristine lakes, and vast open wilderness. We visited historical landmarks, such as the Last Spike, where the Canadian Pacific Railway was completed, and the Cave & Basin National Historic Site, where the discovery of hot springs led to the creation of Canada’s first national park. These places told stories of how geography has significantly influenced the region’s history and development.

We even got to have a little stop at the Spiral Tunnels, it was incredible to learn and understand the engineering marvels that demonstrated how the challenging geography of the West needed creative solutions. We stopped at Roger’s Pass, a site where the railway’s  passage went through treacherous terrain, highlighted the enduring connection between geography and the identity of the West. The modern marvel of the Golden Skybridge showcased how geography continues to shape new attractions that take advantage of the region’s natural beauty.

Here is a little video to help you get an insight on what our trip looked like and the beautiful geography we were surrounded by.

🌍 What Is Geography? The Five Themes of Geography

Before our adventure, we needed to understand what geography truly meant. Geography is not just about naming mountains and rivers and their surroundings. It is divided into five themes that represent its true definition. We made a comic strip to help show the reader what the 5 themes are. Here is my comic strip:

You can read more about each theme in my ebook! (next paragraph)

📖My ebook, it has explanations of all the places we went and everything I learnt! Check it out below:

I made this ebook on book creator, and I have published it for the world to see. I really enjoyed creating this, writing the reflections helped me remember all of the cool things we leanrt and adding the doodles helps me spread the information across the page. I hope you enjoyed reading through it!

🏔️ Conclusion

Our journey through the Wild West of Canada highlighted how geography profoundly influences the political, social, and economic aspects of this region. The natural environment, from the mountainous terrains to the hot springs, has shaped the identity of the West. We’ve seen that the people who call this place home have adapted and developed in response to the geographical challenges and opportunities presented by the land. As we listened, spoke, and questioned our way through this adventure, it became clear that the geography of the West is not just a pretty picture, it’s a important feature that shapes who we are and how we interact with the world.

By experiencing the power of place, we recognize the impact of geography on our lives and the world around us. The competencies of critical thinking, creativity, reflection, and effective communication are crucial in processing and sharing these ideas. This trip taught me so much about how the geography does influence people, but also just simple but important things like adapting to my learning environment and getting work done! The Wild West of Canada is not just a destination; it’s a lesson in how geography molds our identity and who we are as well as our understanding of the world.

Global Exploration🌏 Christopher Columbus’ Journey.✨

Global Exploration🌏 Christopher Columbus’ Journey.✨

Hello everyone, welcome back to another one of my blog posts! In this one I will be sharing another book that I have created on book creator, and I will be telling you all about it.

my book: https://read.bookcreator.com/HNhRwMnhY7T0uBCE2ifvXWhh0jy1/pyK-fghLRSmiTu0s7TUEYA

The assignment: Your final product will be a travelogue– a written account of the the exploration experiences of someone from the “Age of Exploration.” You will make this project using Book Creator. Your purpose is to communicate understanding through story, so you want it to be historically accurate. To make your travelogue effective, you will include interesting images. The more creative you are with these images, the better.

The success criteria: -tells a complete story based on historically accurate information -uses all your skills in image making to create beautiful work -answers the driving question.

What was my favourite part? My favourite part of this assignment was definitely drawing and creating the images, mainly because I love art but also because I got to create so many different types of art. My second favourite part was creating the book, and writing my story about Christopher Columbus.

What was my least favourite part? My least favourite part was probably the note-taking and gathering information part. Mainly because the other parts of this assignment were a lot of fun.

What would I do differently? If I did this assignment again I would probably make my images match my story better.

Byyyeeeeee ✌️

Rad Info About Radical Innovations

Rad Info About Radical Innovations

This Was My Final Draft Of My Triptych!

How did I make it? I made my triptych in many different apps including procreate, notability, SuperimposeX, pages, and sketches pro. This was super fun to create, and didn’t take too long, I’d say it only took about 3 classes. The steps: First things first, we had to pick a photo to import our face into, it took a while to find someone who somewhat had your face shape etc. Once I found it, I went to SuperimposeX and started to create my first portrait. I used the mask tool, the saturation, and the hue to make it look some what normal, and not too obvious. After that I wanted to find a back ground that would somehow make sense through the art piece. The background I chose was; on the right, old brick, on the left newer brick and in the middle fancy smancy marble tile. I did this to kind of represent how brick had evolved in style. Now that I have done the background, I went to procreate and put all three of the panel backgrounds in there. I then imported my face in the renaissance, on the left and right side, and got my recent school photo to go in the middle panel. Then I put all of my items in. Why did I make the choices I did? I really wanted to make it represent the different time period on each panel. I tried to add quite a few items to reach above the accomplished area.

What Did I learn? I learnt a lot about the renaissance innovations, such as the printing press, the clock, the lenses, etc. I learnt why they were important, and what they were used for and how. The source we learnt off of in class was Nelson Socials. I also found some extra sources outside of school such as History.com and mtsu.edu. What will I remember from this project? I will always keep in mind how new innovations are being made and revised over time.

What were the best parts of this project? I thought the best part of this project was the actual creating part of the triptych. What was the worst part of this project? I’d say the worst part of this project was the taking notes mainly because of how long it took.

Here is a slide show that I made, it shows all of the steps I did to create my final draft! ENJOY.

How Did Ideas From Europe and Asia Change The World? 🌎 Ideas from Europe and Asia have shaped the world in many ways, influencing art, science, technology, politics, economics, culture, philosophy, and religion. They have also played a major role in the distribution of power and resources around the world, and will keep doing so in the future. European ideas such as the Renaissance, the enlightenment, and the industrial revolution brought significant changes in art, science, technology, politics, beliefs, and economics. These ideas also played an extremely important role in the development of colonialism, which had a large impact on the global distribution of resources and power. In this writing, I will be evaluating on this conclusion above throughout this reading, along with all of the innovations that were created through out the renaissance, the time before the renaissance, and the inventions in our world today! What Conclusions Can You Make About How New Ideas In The Renaissance Changed The World? 💭 The new ideas from the renaissance changed the renaissance world by welcoming new innovations such as medical innovations, helpful inventions, change in beliefs/religion, how they viewed the world, and the spread of new ideas and knowledge. On the left panel I put a few of the very important innovations that were created in the Renaissance! The first one that I put was the printing press. The reason why I put it in was because it was definitely life-changing and important, without this invention, our world would be very different and definitely not as educated. Why is the printing press important? The printing press is a machine that helped create one of the first medical books ever. it allowed for Martin Luther to fight back, medical books to be made, and books. The printing press also allowed for news and different ideas to spread with the news paper which made people a lot more aware of what was going on in the world. Changes rather than focussing on religion they focused on new ways to improve society by building off of the innovations and creating new inventions. With the new philosophy came new art styles rather than drawing angels and god they drew portraits and landscapes, they also started to create art with more realism, and different techniques and skills. My third invention that I did was the lenses. My reason was because if people (specifically blind/people with poor sight) didn’t have glasses a lot of innovations wouldn't of been created. And a lot of different ideas wouldn’t have been spread. My fourth invention was the clock. I thought that this one was an extremely important invention that helped everyone become more organized. Without this we wouldn’t know where to be and when. The fifth invention that I put on the left panel was the 95 claims written by Martin Luther. The reason why I chose this one is because it was extremely important in our history. What are the 95 theses? The 95 theses are a list of reasons why Martin Luther didn’t really agree with the church, and their doings such as the paying taxes. He wondered why and how that corresponded with god. The last invention for the left panel is the Mona Lisa! I chose to do this because it was quite a incredible piece of art, and it was one of the painting back then that had some realism to it, and it didn’t have anything to do with religion in the art piece. What conclusions can you make about the traditional ideas that people had before the renaissance ideas changes the world? 💡 The traditional ideas that people had before the Renaissance were the views of the Catholic Church, telling time with the rooster, and hand printing shows that people back then were not as educated as they could’ve been. In the right side of my triptych, I put a few innovations that people used before they created the renaissance inventions. The first one I put was a cross and a bible to represent how powerful the Catholic Church was, I found this quite important especially if we are comparing the renaissance with this as I found that this was quite the opposite to what the renaissance was like. Next I put a window with stars and a moon to represent how they didn’t know much about it without the telescope, I found the telescope to be an incredibly important innovation because without it we wouldn't have know a lot of things about the universe, and even germs and bacteria. Then I did a sun dial because its how they would’ve told the time before the clock was invented. Telling time is very important and I really wanted to include the sun-dial because i think it’s so cool how they could tell what time it was by shadows and light! And last but pretty much least, I did a hand, with some sort of pencil in it, to represent how they would’ve done stuff without the printing press. Again I think the printing press is very important since without it we wouldn’t have very good education and not as many ideas and beliefs would be shared around the world. What conclusions can you make about how new ideas from the renaissance have changed my world today? 🌎 The Renaissance, which began in the 14th century and lasted until the 17th century, marked a significant shift in these traditional ideas, as individuals began to question traditional beliefs and placed a greater emphasis on humanism, reason of life, and individualism. This led to advances in science, art, literature, and politics, and laid the foundation for the modern world. Without this happening my world today wouldn’t be nearly as peaceful, educated, and advanced as it is today. In the centre panel of my triptych, I did a few of the innovations that have evolved over time and what they look like now. My first invention is the iPad, to represent thee revised printing press and clock. My second invention is the kindle to represent the evolved book. My third invention is the telescope this was to represent the revised eyeglasses and lenses. Then I also did some blue light glasses to also represent the new technology of eye glasses. After that I put an Apple Watch to represent the revised clock. And last but definitely least is a modern painting to represent the different of painting technique and style from then to now. Conclusion: Overall, the innovations, along with the ideas from Europe and Asia, as well as the renaissance, have had a HUGE impact on our world. The innovations from the renaissance have evolved over time to create extremely significant, helpful, tools that help educate, and spread ideas across the world. These innovations will probably continue to evolve and improve over time. I can’t wait to see what someone comes out with next!! Thank you for taking the time to read this. Bye bye!
MPOL

MPOL

Welcome to another Blog Post! This is a very special post. In a couple of days we will be presenting to our parents and teachers about what has happened this year and a reflection on how we think it’s going. This is a stressful, but exciting part of PLP. Enjoy!

Here is a slideshow, this is pretty much what I had on the screen when I presented, to help me remember all of the projects I was going to talk about! ENJOY!

MPOL Blog Post/PLP Reflection

In this blog post I will be reflecting and writing all about my projects, and experiences so far in PLP, this semester. I will also be talking about the goals that I set for each of my classes in PLP, how I personally think I grew as a student, how I can flex my learning and continue to meet my learning goals until the end of the year. Also how I plan overcoming some problems I face in the future as a learner, and last but not least listing some of my strengths and weaknesses as a student.

My Learning Plan and how I assessed my self this semester.

In the beginning of the school year, we had to fill out our learning plan, so we could set goals for ourselves and try to meet them by the end of the year/semester. For humanities I set an extending, because I wanted to test my abilities and try my hardest. I feel like if I set accomplished for my learning, then I wouldn’t have tried as hard. I ended up reaching my goals so far this semester, however humanities is a class that happens throughout the whole year.  I think that the project for this class that helped me reach my goal was probably the Middle Ages slideshow presentation. I was proud of all the information that I gathered and i was also very proud of the way I formatted my slides, and writing. For my Maker class, I also set an extending, because I was pretty confident but I also wanted to push my self to the limit, and try as hard as I can to reach my goal, it ended up paying off. I think the project that helped me get to reach my goal was the avatar Pandora Box, I was proud of this because first off it was very fun to make, I also really enjoyed the concept of this project. I spent a lot of time on it, and the idea came naturally to me as soon as I heard that we could put stuff inside of them box!

Here is my Learning Plan goal that I set for myself at the beginning of the year!

Sorry some of the writing was cut off in the boxes.

How Have I Personally Grown as A Learner So Far?

One main thing that shows how I have grown this semester so far, is all of my blog posts, I have done all of the necessary posts and I even added some extra ones, I normally post extra blogs about things I am passionate about or want to share with other people. I really enjoyed not only making my blog posts but also sharing my work to the public, I have never used anything like this before, so I find it very amusing. So far this year we have all been doing our work and then once we are all done we do peer critique. I have gotten quite used to accepting and using the feed back that I get to edit my drafts so they are ready to post.I personally grew in the recording and reflecting process as a learner this year through the blog posts that I have done. Whenever I start a new project I always think about my last one and the critique I had received to see if it could come in handy for the upcoming projects.

How Can I Edit My Learning Plan To Ensure That I’ll Reach My learning Plan Goal.

Right now I am meeting my learning goals, so I think I can sharpen my learning plan by planning ahead for the subject that I haven’t learned yet. I believe that I can use my experience from this first semester, and possibly like list my strengths and weaknesses from it, so that I can take it and learn from them. For example, a few of my strengths this semester is trying my best, handing work in on time, and reaching my goals that I set for my self. Some of my weaknesses are leaving my homework last minute and rushing. I can also use my project planning skills to plan projects that will come in the future to become better with time management. I think that by practicing all of these skills, will help me be able to reach my goals, and hopefully exceed with them by the end of this year.

How Am I Planning To Overcome Future Problems As A Learner?

If end up with a project in a subject that I am not particularly good at, I plan on going to one of my peers that I know is stronger in this subject, and ask them what they think I should do to be successful in the making of the project. For example, I was struggling with this MPOL writing, because I missed the instructions and I didn’t even know what they were talking about. So I ended up asking a few of my friends who had already started or have finished theirs to see what they suggested for me to write about. So if I ever struggle with something like this in the future, I will go to another peer or adult and ask them to help me.

Conclusion

So overall, throughout this semester, I think that I grew as a learner. I learned knew skills like how to use different apps and techniques to stay organized and get everything done on time. I feel like this year I have gotten better at asking peers for help with things that I don’t understand. Even right now while I am writing this blog post I am reflecting on myself and my projects/experiences so far this semester. I am also thinking about all of the ways that I can stay this organized next year when I have even more homework! I am looking forward to the next semester in PLP, and how I will still try to meet my learning goals and how I will stay organized with the new apps and techniques that we will be taught. Thank you so much for reading this, see you in my next blog post!!

Middle Ages/Crusades/Humanities!

Middle Ages/Crusades/Humanities!

🌏What Am I Learning In Humanities? 🌏

In humanities we are all learning about the Middle Ages, and the Feudal System! It’s a lot more fun then it sounds, and I am really enjoying it! We all did a slideshow about it, and here is how mine turned out:

👤My First Ever Winter Exhibition Blog Post! AVATAR THEMED!!👤

👤My First Ever Winter Exhibition Blog Post! AVATAR THEMED!!👤

❄️Winter Exhibition Reflection❄️

’What did James Cameron’s fantasy world of Avatar teach us about the real world?’ For me, this question wasn’t a very easy one to answer in a simple and non-detailed way. My class-mates, and I all discussed this question at school, and came up with quite a few different answers, but the main one for me was probably racism, and not to be extremely greedy, and also to have empathy for others.

What we had to do for this project: we had to create a box and chose one of the four themes we chose from the first avatar movie! (Racism, humans vs nature, corporate greed, militarism) once we had chosen our theme, we then had to come up with a theme-statement according to our opinions on the theme that we chose. My theme statement was, ‘Sometimes people don’t think about the consequences of the damage they make for their own personal wants and needs.’

Process

There were quite a few steps in order to reach the end product, the first step was to choose our theme and each write out our theme-statement. After we had done that, we had to plan out and draw our prototype for our model. We had to somehow figure out how we were going to incorporate our theme-statement into our model, and for it to still make sense. Once we had done all that we had to fill out a PowerPoint thing while we kept working on our planning, to keep track of everything and all the materials and things that were needed. Here was my prototype that I drew:

Sorry about the mess.

Once we had drawn out our prototype, we then had to plan out all of the materials we needed to buy. Once we had bought everything that was needed we could finally start to put it all together and make our avatar box come to LIFE! We had about a week to finish up our box, and get everything perfect! After that the only thing left to do was present at the exhibition, and then reflect on our overall project. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it to the exhibition or help set up for it.

Challenges

One of the hardest things about this project was probably figuring out my box, and all the the materials I needed. I really struggled when it came to physically building the box, especially the two trees I put inside. I feel like a lot of people who were also building trees struggled, but we all managed to finish it in the end and they all turned out AMAZING! When we first started the project we had to sketch out an idea, I kind of had an idea after we did this exercise and discussed all of our ideas. At first I didn’t actually think that I was allowed to put things inside of the box, but it turned out we could. As soon as I heard we could I had this idea that came to my mind. Here was my idea: Ok so here is my box on the left we have a before when the tree is all green, healthy, and gorgeous. And on the right was after, when the tree was fallen over, and had been bombed by the people. On the right side I had the Na’vi people who were fighting and running away, some were even dead. That was my main idea and I just kept building from that!

Strengths

The easiest part for me was probably the sketch and drawing. It was the easiest thing for me because I had an idea already in my head.

The Best Part

My favourite part of the exhibition was seeing my final product! I was very happy with my end result considering that I spent a lot of time on it. I was very proud of my self for not giving up and truly trying really hard!

What would I have changed

If I could’ve changed one thing about my project to make it better it would be to make sure that I am organized so I can have my box done on time, and ready to present. Another thing is to practice the things I say when I present as I did stumble or forget the main information.

What I learnt

What I learned from this project is that it is good to have a strong starting idea but it is even better to add my ideas and thoughts to it as time goes by. Another thing is I have to know what I need to do and when I need to do it.

I cannot wait for the next EXHIBITION!! Next time I will actually hopefully make it so I can share even more valuable and interesting information for you to read!

Here is how my box turned out in the end:

☀️Hello Everybody!☀️

☀️Hello Everybody!☀️

This environment is where you can see everything us students are learning in school, and how we each make our work personalized to ourselves. Now get ready for this years rollercoaster of unique work, make sure to hold on to your seats very tightly and don’t let go! In order to make our work the best it can possibly be is to I learn, reflect, and revise to stretch our learning to the max. Thanks so much for spending your time reading through all my work so far, and don’t forget to come back soon!☀️
