Changing Perspectives
Have you ever wondered how photographers make a photo of something so dull, look so interesting? Well, recently in my class we have been learning about 6 different camera angles in media, and how they affect the viewers perception of a photo. As an experiment, we went outside to the field and took a photo of each type: an Establishing shot, a Medium shot, a Wide shot, Low and High Angle shots, and a Close-up shot. Different angles are used for different purposes in the media, for example an Establishing is used to show the setting and mood of the scene and a Low angle shot makes the person or thing look powerful or tall. We then put all of our photos into a Comic Life that showed which one is which.
Did you realize there is only 5 photos? This is because I am horrible at counting and was so caught up in making the comic look pretty, that I forgot the criteria! So, before I could finish, the app suddenly kept crashing and I had to delete it. Here is the last, but definitely not the least Medium shot. 😊
Thanks for reading my blog!
