Recently we’ve been working on a really cool assignment. We were told to choose and explorer and write a creative story about them. I chose to make a fake explorer. I just felt like a lot has already been written about all the explorers we could choose from. Another thing that I did that was different that’s other people’s is that I made it from a girls perspective. Historically girls weren’t allowed to explore so I wrote it as a girl who’s pretending to be a boy so she could explore. I did this because I thought it would be fun to think about it as who I would have been if I lived in that time. Anyway, I really like my book and thought it turned out really well.
