Congratulations to Team Canada’s women’s hockey team. We tried to watch today via the CBC web cast, but we could not see the whole thing. Our streaming video stopped at around 10:15 am, and we were without a picture. Some people used their phones to listen to the games in their classes, while some people followed along on radio.

When we found out that the score was 2-2 and they were going into overtime, we announced it over our public address system. There were cheers throughout the school.

Just before noon, more cheers were heard throughout the school, and Victoria (grade 7) came and let me know that Canada had won, and she wanted it announced over the PA. So Victoria announced the winning score. 3-2 for Canada.

Well done.

We were also pleased this morning to hear about the gold medal in women’s curling.
